There are many possibilities to have multiple copies of same contacts in your android phone. It is difficult to find out all the copies (duplicate contacts) and delete it . So here is a way to do it. We have an app called Simpler Merge Duplicates. It will help you to clean duplicate contacts from your phone. So let us check how it works:
1. First of all, Install Simpler Merge Duplicates on your Android Phone. Goto this link and install it.
2.Open this app to find out all the possible merges means the contacts with similar names. Once you found all the possible merges then you need to tap on Merge button and it will merge your contacts with similar name which means the contacts with same names will be deleted and only one copy will be left to use.
And finally you got rid of duplicate contacts.
